Station 8 was dispatched at 7:30pm November 12th for a dwelling fire in the 200 block of Cranberry Drive. Callers reported two elderly residents in the home. LMPD confirmed heavy smoke, and got the remaining resident out of the home. Engine 8-1 laid in from hydrant and deployed two 1 3/4 hand lines to the basement where fire was located. Crews from Squad 8, Tower 8, and Squad 11 worked on ventilation, checked for extension, and conducted search for family pets. Firefighters rescued both dogs and resusitated the one suffering from smoke inhalation. Two residents transported to hospital and both dogs were taken to vet hospital for treatment. Units on scene included Engine 8-1, Tower 8, Squad 8, Utility 8, Squad 11, Bucks Rescue 2 (FAST Team), Bryn Athyn Ambulance and Montco Second Alarmers, and Station 8 Fire Police.
